I believe that people have the ability to transform their lives by changing old habits and ways of thinking that have become roadblocks on their path to happiness and success. I can help them identify those roadblocks and implement tools to create the life they deserve.

From a young age I was always an observer; I noticed the different ways in which people handled hardships and was curious to discover different patterns of resiliency. I was also fascinated by motivations behind people’s behavior. There were times I inadvertently became my own case study. I suffered unexpected losses and transitions from an early age, and through that discovered how to seek support when at times it was hard to find. I believe it was this search for clarity and understanding in human behavior that led me to pursue Psychology. This led to becoming a Clinical Mental Health Counselor, which truly felt like my natural path. I received my Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Marymount University in Arlington, VA in 2013. After graduate school I moved to Colorado, where I worked as a Behavioral Health Consultant with young children (while maintaining a private practice for adults and couples.) I thrived working with young children, helping teachers and parents meet the behavioral and emotional needs of their children and students. I am passionate about helping parents provide a predictable, structured home environment with the use of interactive schedules, heathier patterns of communication, and tools to meet the emotional, social, and developmental needs of the child. I also flourished in my work with individuals and couples, observing their patterns of communication and helping them to identify where things have gone astray. I enjoy helping individuals and couples communicate in healthier, clearer ways, and truly enjoy seeing the dynamics shift in what was once a struggling relationship or pattern.
Throughout the years I’ve worked with hundreds of clients in various settings, and I noticed I’ve seen the most success with short term, action-step sessions . My biggest passion (aside from raising a truly magical little boy) is traveling. Travel, to me, is essential to opening our minds and our hearts, seeing first-hand the similarities and differences across cultures, and developing an appreciation for human kind. One thing I’ve noticed as a constant within every new group, culture, and world I explore…is a desire for happiness. Some cultures appear to have this figured out a bit more than others. I learn everything I can from immersing myself with people that might at first seem wildly different than myself, and I always come home with the single most useful piece of knowledge I could ever hope to attain: we are not all that different.
